VfL Bad Kreuznach is fighting for points – spectacular home game on Saturday!

VfL Bad Kreuznach is facing crucial weeks in the regional league. With only three games left on the program, the team wants to increase its points account and show a positive balance. Next Saturday at 3 p.m. in the home game against the already masterful 1. Hanauer THC: full concentration and courageous approach! Coach Florian Mussgay has a good feel for the challenges ahead and approaches the game optimistically Rhine newspaper reported.

In the background of the big league challenges, VfL Bad Kreuznach is also celebrating success on other levels. It wasn't until June 18th that the Oberliga men were able to achieve an exciting home win against the regional league reserves of Dürkheimer HC and won 2-1. After an initially tough game, Christian Mayerhöfer gave the guests the lead in the 37th minute. But Mike Göring equalized in direct response and gave his team the winning goal just a few minutes later. An excellent team performance and solid support helped to defend the lead until the final whistle. Next Sunday at 11 a.m. the men will play against TG Worms in the Salinental Stadium, a game that the team is already eager for VfL Bad Kreuznach Hockey website reported.

Junior tournaments and club activities

But it's not just the men's teams that are the focus. The hockey department has also attracted attention with great events in the last few weeks. The 51st girls' hockey tournament took place, in which 89 teams from more than 30 clubs took part. Unfortunately the tournament had to be canceled early due to weather. Another highlight is the 70th boys' hockey tournament, which is organized by VfL Bad Kreuznach on the Corpus Christi weekend and attracts numerous young teams from the region.

Successes of the youth teams

The successes of the youth teams are also remarkable. The female Youth B celebrated their first win of the season with a convincing 5-1 against TSV Schott Mainz. The girls B were also able to record several victories, including against Bad Dürkheim (2:1) and TSV Mainz (9:0). The boys C also showed their strength at a tournament in Koblenz and won all three games with an impressive goal difference of 10:2. The U10 female team, on the other hand, showed mixed results, but also had some clear victories to celebrate.

An impressive Easter hockey camp with 40 participants was also a success and was very well received by the trainers and participants. This positive trend is underlined by the vision of a new beginning within the hockey department, which brings fresh team spirit to the club through a new board. Unfortunately, there is also sadness in the air as the department mourns the loss of Horst Schrögel, a former department head who played a significant role in German hockey.

There are exciting and important weeks ahead for VfL Bad Kreuznach. The club community can look forward to seeing how the team performs in the final part of the season. The soft signs point to success, both in the adult and youth sectors.
