A dramatic incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the train station in Bad Kleinen. A 60-year-old man crashed into the tracks with a breath alcohol value of 2.27 per thousand and was slightly injured. Fortunately, he managed to retire independently from the danger area before the emergency services of the federal police arrived.

The federal police reacted promptly and imposed a track closure to ensure security at the train station. Rescue workers ensured the medical care of the slightly injured man before he was brought to a clinic in Wismar. The incident led to minor impairments in rail traffic, but luckily there was worse.
