L031, 23966 Bad Kleinen, Deutschland - On April 21, 2025, a tragic traffic accident on the L031 country road between Zickhusen and Niendorf, in which a 56-year-old man died. The driver of a Mercedes-Benz lost control of his vehicle for reasons that have so far been unexplained, crashed into a tree and was caught in the car. Firefighters had to free him before he was flown to a hospital. There he succumbed to his serious injuries.

The accident site was closed for three hours for the duration of the investigation, which led to significant traffic disruptions. The property damage is estimated at around 15,000 euros, and a DEKRA appraiser was consulted to investigate the accident.
