Serious accident in Bad Zwischenahn: Four injured after frontal collision!

in Bad Zwischenahn, in the Rostrup district, occurred on Thursday, April 10, 2025, a serious traffic accident that involved several vehicles. At around 4:18 p.m., a 78-year-old BMW driver got on the oncoming lane for reasons that have so far been unexplained, where she collided headally with a truck. Both the driver and her 84-year-old passenger were seriously injured in the impact and had to be recovered from the vehicle wreck by the fire brigade.

The two occupants of the truck, at the age of 30 and 31, suffered minor injuries and one of them was transported to the hospital for examination. The driver of a VW, who drove directly behind the truck, was able to avoid the accident, but collided with a traffic sign. A subsequent Mercedes could no longer brake in time and drove through the debris, which also damaged it and was no longer ready to drive. Eight emergency vehicles and 15 members of the Bad Zwischenahn volunteer fire brigade were deployed for the rescue measures.
