Sandbostel, Deutschland - Last weekend, an impressive crowd of 3,000 participants took part in the memorial march from Bremen-Farge to the Sandbostel Memorial to commemorate the cruel history of the death march of forced laborers in the Second World War. Under the motto "Steps to Remember", including the Lower Saxony Interior Minister Daniela Behrens and contemporary witness Johann Dücker, who emotionally reported on his experiences as a child. On the route, three new steles were inaugurated to remember the death marches, which increased the total number to 13.
The marched path had for many moving moments, including the reports from Dücker, who testified how he experienced the horror as a nine -year -old.
