Discover the future of energy: Open day in Celle!
The Drilling Simulator Celle (DSC) of the Technical University of Clausthal opens its doors to a wide audience on May 17, 2025 from 12 noon to 6 p.m. On the occasion of the open house day, visitors will not only get to know the innovative research work of the facility, but also discover exciting topics such as "Circular Economy" and sustainable management of energy, material and information. University President Dr.-Ing. Sylvia Schattauer emphasizes the importance of this event for the visibility of the university in the Celle region and cordially invites everyone interested.
The program of the day is diverse and includes hands -on activities for children and adolescents. These are intended to raise awareness of sustainable raw material extraction and the use of green hydrogen. Furthermore, there is the possibility of learning more about the courses of the TU Clausthal in personal discussions.

highlight of the day will be two guided tours by the drilling simulator, which take place at 1 p.m. and at 3:30 p.m. The event is musically framed by the jazz trio "Orchestra Valentino" from Hanover. The physical well-being of the visitors is also taken care of: there are snacks, drinks, a bouncy castle and "giant lego", which should address both children and adults.
The DSC is a research center with a focus on deep drilling technology and interdisciplinary research.
