In the night from Easter Sunday to Easter Monday, the Delmenhorst police checked the speed of vehicles on Bremer Strasse. Shortly before midnight, a Skoda Roomster was targeted by the officials when he was measured at excessive speed. During the subsequent control it turned out that the 49-year-old driver was heavily alcoholic.

A breath alcohol test resulted in an alarming value of 1.17 per thousand. Immediate measures were taken: the man's driver's license was confiscated and he had to undergo a blood sample. An investigation is now being initiated against the driver.
