Two arrests in Görlitz: car theft and driver flight revealed!

A spectacular arrest occurred in the Lodenau district of Rothenburg: A common patrol from the federal police and customs grabbed a 41-year-old Ukrainian yesterday after noon, who has been on the search list since 2020. He is accused of being involved in a serious theft after he was caught with a stolen Berlin Mercedes Sprinter. Prevention was ordered against him, and today the investigative judge at the Görlitz district court decides on the further procedure.

Also this morning at 6:00 a.m., the handcuffs for a 44-year-old Bulgarians clicked at the border control point in Görlitz, Stadtbrücke. There were already judgments against him for negligent driving without a license, and since he had not paid a fine of 600 euros, the public prosecutor's office Dessau-Rosslau issued an arrest warrant. At the moment the Bulgarian is willing to pay - however, it remains to be seen whether it can procure the necessary funds.
