Today, June 26, 2025, a serious traffic accident occurred on Auhagenstrasse in Coppenbrügge, Hameln-Pyrmont district. A six-year-old boy was hit by a gray dump truck while riding his bicycle. According to NDR, the incident happened around 1:20 p.m. The child was seriously injured at the scene of the accident and required immediate medical attention.
The truck driver continued his journey towards Salzhemmendorf. It is currently unclear whether the driver noticed the collision. The Bad Münder police have started the investigation and are urgently looking for witnesses who can provide information about the fleeing dump truck.
