During the check, a 40-year-old man was arrested who had tried to steal a ring from a woman in Eddesse the day before. The arrested man was taken to the police station in Peine, where further investigations were carried out. Peine Police encourage the public to take action when observing aggressive begging and to report incidents to increase community safety. “We do everything we can to ensure a good feeling of security even in such cases,” said a police spokesman.
