Today, November 29th, 2025, the football fields in our region will once again be characterized by thrilling encounters. The district derby between TB Uphusen and FC Verden 04 II in particular provided exciting moments. In a game played on artificial turf, Uphusen defeated FC Verden with a convincing 3-1. This was the seventh win in a row for the Uphusen team, which made the fans cheer.

Although Verden was able to reduce the score to 1:2 in the final phase thanks to a header from Nick Zander, Tonny Munezero finally put the game away for Uphusen in stoppage time by scoring the score 1:3. This win not only consolidates Uphusen's position in the league, but also shows the impressive form the team is currently showing.

There was also a lot to cheer about in the game between TV Oyten and TuSG Ritterhude. Denis Schymiczek, who was back in the starting line-up for the first time after a long injury break, immediately showed with a characteristic appearance that he had not forgotten anything. He quickly equalized and scored three goals in total, making him the star of the game.

Under coach Jan Fitschen, the Oyteners climbed the winner's podium with a final score of 7:1. In addition to Schymiczek, Jonas Reinke, Simon Seekamp and Vafing Jabateh also contributed to the clear success with their goals. A great example of how team spirit and individual class can go hand in hand.

Health in focus

In today's world, when health protection also plays an important role, it is essential to know about the dangers of tuberculosis. According to information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Tuberculosis is caused by the bacterium Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The pathogens can be spread through the air, especially in poorly ventilated rooms, which increases the risk.

There are also inactive forms of tuberculosis that can cause symptoms but are not contagious. However, without treatment, this form can progress into active, contagious tuberculosis, which can have fatal consequences. People with a weakened immune system are particularly at risk. It is therefore important to get tested if you suspect contact with an affected person.

In the coming period, we should not only keep an eye on the exciting games in the region, but also pay attention to our health. Football brings us together, but we also have to be sensitive to the issues of our time.
