B 31, Deutschland - A dramatic traffic accident occurred on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. on the B 31 near Friedrichshafen. A 48-year-old truck driver lost control of his tractor-trailer after a black VW Touareg had overtaken him. The overtaking forces the driver into a risky evasive maneuver that ends in a ditch. The tractor-trailer, loaded with furniture, got stuck in the ditch and caused property damage in the five-digit euro range. Fortunately, the driver was unharmed.

The rescue of the 40-tonner proves to be complicated and will continue until the evening. In the meantime, the federal road is closed, which leads to considerable traffic disruptions. The Immenstaad police are urgently looking for witnesses to find the previously unknown driver of the VW Touareg. Anyone who has information is asked to report on 07545/1700.
