on Sunday, April 27, 2025, there was a serious traffic accident at the Schloss-Wissen-Straße and Winnekendonker Straße in Kevelaer around 2:30 p.m. A 25-year-old man from Kevelaer who drove with a BMW overlooked a Nissan Note, who was directed by a 79-year-old woman, also from Kevelaer. This was on the right of Schloss-Wissen-Straße in the direction of B9.

The 79-year-old driver and her 75-year-old passenger from Xanten suffered serious injuries in the dramatic collision. The young BMW driver got away with minor injuries. The vehicles had to be towed and the fire brigade was in use to clean the road. Due to the accident recording, Winnekendonker Straße was temporarily closed.
