Kupferbergterrasse, Mainz, Deutschland - Unknown perpetrators stolen a car from a parking garage on Kupferbergterrasse on Friday evening, March 21, 2025, between 6:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. The vehicle, equipped with a Keyless GO function, had an estimated current value of around 20,000 euros. The vehicle owner had safely parked her car in the parking garage before visiting a nearby restaurant and safely stowed the key in her handbag. But when she returned, her car had disappeared without a trace.

The Mainz police are now looking for witnesses who can provide information on the incident. The perpetrators were apparently able to escape unhindered. This brazen offense throws a light on the growing problem of using keyless systems that are increasingly the goal of thefts.
