Traffic chaos on A81: Serious accident demands three injuries!

A serious traffic accident occurred on Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. on the 81 Autobahn in the direction of singing, shortly before the Hegau motorway junction. A 24-year-old driver from the Göppingen district presumably carried out a risky change of lane, which led to a violent rear-end collision with a driver from Switzerland driving in the same direction. A total of three people were injured in the crash and had to be brought to surrounding hospitals immediately.

The highway was closed for almost three hours, while the rescue workers and the Autobahnmeisterei were feverishly busy with the salvage work. The roadway could not be released until around 10:30 p.m., which led to a massive traffic jam to the Engen junction. The property damage incurred is estimated at around 50,000 euros. The Mühlhausen-Ehingen transport service started the investigation into the exact cause of the accident.
