Truck accident in Hirschberg: Driver remains unharmed, high property damage!
on January 29, 2025, around 07:15 a.m., a truck accident occurred on the L541 in Hirschberg on Bergstrasse. A 21-year-old truck driver who was traveling from Hirschberg towards Heddesheim could have driven excessive speed when driving the first roundabout. When leaving the roundabout, his vehicle pushed against the left -hand traffic island and then fell against the right -sided protective bank.
As a result, the truck broke through the protective bank and slid down the embankment before it came to a standstill in an adjacent field. The driver was able to leave the vehicle independently and without injuries, but was looked after by the emergency services as a precaution. The L541 was completely closed for about 45 minutes, while the Hirschberg volunteer fire brigade moved out with three vehicles to secure the accident site.
