Clausthal-Zellerfeld, Deutschland - The Technical University of Clausthal with great joy the appointment of Dr. Andreas Tillmann announced the university professor for discrete optimization in the Faculty of Mathematics. Prof. Tillmann studied at the Technical University of Braunschweig and gained his degree in financial and business mathematics in 2009. After the doctorate in 2013 at the TU Darmstadt with a focus on mathematics, several career followed. He worked as a postdoc at the TU Darmstadt from 2014 to 2016 and in 2017 to 2019 as a youth group leader at the Chair of Operations Research and Visual Computing Institutes at RWTH Aachen. A research stay as a guest scientist at the "Canada Excellence Research Chair Data Science for Real-Time Decision Making" at the Polytechnique Montréal enriched his professional career.
