in Aplerbeck, Dortmund, broke out a basement on Tuesday evening when a tumble dryer went up on flames in Werrastraße. The firefighters of Wachen 3, 4 and 12 and the emergency services were immediately alerted. Under respiratory protection, two fire brigade troops went quickly, extinguished the fire and brought the device outdoors.

Three people received an initial examination by the emergency services, with a resident being hospitalized with the suspicion of flue gas poisoning. Due to the spread of the fire smoke into the upper floors, the entire residential building, including the basement, had to be extracted with high -performance fans. After almost an hour, the operation for the approximately 25 emergency services of the fire brigade was successfully completed.
