On May 16, 2025, there was dramatic and dangerous traffic maneuvers around 2:50 p.m. in the area of ​​the B 74/B 71 in Basdahl. A red Peugeot repeated on oncoming traffic, which led to fatal situations for other road users who had to avoid to avoid collisions. An attentive witness recorded the dangerous trips by video.

Thanks to a quick search, the police were able to stop the vehicle, controlled by a 24-year-old man from the Osterholz district. During the check, it turned out that the driver was under the influence of narcotics. Numerous vehicles, especially a white van, were at risk on the route towards Bremervörde. The police ask all witnesses who have further information to report to the police in Bremervörde or Rotenburg immediately.
