On Sunday evening (May 11, 2025), a scandalous incident caused excitement in a parking space on the B 475 between Sassenberg and Füchtorf. A 64-year-old man from Halle (Westphalia) noticed aggressive behavior towards a group of young adults when he suddenly climbed out of his car and scabbed her. The witnesses immediately suspected that the man was drunk.

When the driver finally tried to flee, the young adults tried to stop him. This led to a dangerous chase, in which the pursuers were involved in a slight accident - luckily nobody was injured. The fleeting car was stopped by the police in the Gütersloh district a little later by the attentive witnesses. The suspicion of alcohol at the wheel was confirmed and the officials ordered a blood sample and ensuring the driver's license. An investigation was initiated.
