Masked attacker exudes irritable gas in Beckum - who knows him?

In a shocking incident on Monday morning, April 28, 2025, an unknown attacker sprayed irritant gas in the face of an employee of a grocery store in front of a financial institution on Weststrasse/Hühlstraße in Beckum. The attack occurred at 10 a.m. when the masked tried to escape unnoticed. The employee instinctively defended himself and raised his hands in front of his face, hit the perpetrator. This then fled towards Weststrasse without prey.

The stranger is described as about 1.75 meters tall and of stable stature. Witnesses reported a southern appearance and dark clothing - a hoodie, a dark cap and dark shoes. The Warendorf police ask the population for help. Anyone who has information about the incident or identity of the perpetrator should report immediately.
