On Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2025, a devastating fire broke out in an apartment in Benrath, which the Düsseldorf fire brigade alerted in no time. Despite the fast extinguishing attack, a person could only be recovered dead. The criminal police have already investigated the cause of the fire. Fortunately, there were no other injuries.

The fire brigade prevented the spread of fire to neighboring buildings with a massive use. After the extinguishing work, additional emergency services searched the entire building to ensure that no embers had remained. Finally, the rescuers used high -performance fans to free the affected apartment and the adjacent houses from fire smoke.
