On Friday, May 9, 2025, the event opens its doors from 6 p.m. to midnight and invites technology enthusiasts, families, students: interior and students to discover the diverse opportunities of regional companies and educational institutions. This year 36 technology companies and educational institutions from the district area are active and present a total of 37 stations. Among the participating institutions are the vocational colleges in Wipperfürth, Wermelskirchen, Dieringhausen and the TH Cologne, Campus Gummersbach. The Gizeh Group will give an insight into its innovative technologies at two locations. The Bomig fire truck of the Wiehler fire brigade also shows the interested parties the exciting aspects of his work.

Visitors to the event can look forward to a wide range of practical experiences. The model factory of the Innovation Hub in Gummersbach provides exciting insights into artificial intelligence and robot simulation. Kanadevia Inova Steinmüller also presents a virtual "Waste-to-Energy" system. At Abus in Gummersbach, the guests have the opportunity to serve a crane themselves. Agger energy will present exciting solutions to intelligent electricity networks of the future, and the THW local group Bergneustadt shows pumps for flood inserts, while the laboratory union in Reichshof-Wehnrath presents laboratory diagnostics.

New this year are the 16 excursions that lead to the various technology stations in the form of bus groups. These excursions are aimed at under-23-year-olds; Parents can accompany their children. In order to enable the most broadest possible participation, there are special programs for career orientation and open training workshops.

The event is initiated by the Cologne district association of the VDI and VDE Bergisch Land-Südwestfalen and receives the support of the IHK and the Oberbergische Kreis, whose district administrator Jochen Hagt took over the patronage. The ticket prices are family -friendly: a single ticket costs 10 euros, reduced 5 euros. There is a free IHK Young Talent ticket for people under the age of 25.
