Customs campaign in Bielefeld: Illegal employment in hairdressing salons uncovered!
In an intensive campaign, the main customs office Bielefeld checked hairdressing salons, barbershops and cosmetic studios in the entire district last week. From April 8th to April 10, the customs officers checked the compliance with social security obligations and covered various violations, including illegal employment and illegal reference to social benefits. Supported by various authorities and institutions, a total of 37 customs officers were used.During the exams, illegal stay was found in three cases. Three Vietnamese men between the ages of 21 and 32 showed no valid work permits. Particularly explosive: A 22-year-old hairdresser in Paderborn tried to show himself with a fake document and was handed over to the police. It was also a 32-year-old employee in a nail salon in Soest who could not identify himself. Customs announced that it would investigate the employers concerned, while the immigration office decides on the further procedure regarding the illegally employed.
