Motorcyclist seriously injured: dramatic accident on B525 in Goxel

A dramatic accident on the B525 in Goxel occurred on Tuesday morning when a 54-year-old scooter driver from Gescher tried around 7:50 a.m. to avoid a garbage can on the bike path. The attempt ended fatally: the man fell onto the road, where he was first caught by a truck driver (62) from Medebach. The impact hurled him into oncoming traffic, where he collided with the car of a 75-year-old driver from the Netherlands.

suffered serious injuries, the scooter driver was flown to a hospital with a rescue helicopter. The accident site was closed for around four and a half hours, while an accident recording team from Recklinghausen supported the evidence. The investigation into the course of the accident is running.
