Burglary series in Meerbusch: perpetrators flee into the forest!

On Wednesday evening, March 5, a group of unknown perpetrators broke into a family home on the street Am Wald in Meerbusch Büderich. The burglars possibly reached the property between 7 p.m. and 7:07 p.m. via an adjacent forest, raned the house and escaped with cash, jewelry and valuables after being surprised by the resident. Despite an immediately initiated search with a police helicopter and service dog, the perpetrators remained undetected and escaped into the forest.

The same morning between 8 a.m. and 8:10 a.m. burglars had already hit Karl-Arnold-Straße in Büderich and had penetrated through the apartment door into an apartment building. Whether something was stolen remains unclear. Another break -in occurred between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Eichendorffstraße in Neuss's Dreikönigsviertel, where the perpetrators obtained access via a garden window and captured jewelry.
