On Sunday, March 16, 2025, a 17-year-old youth in Coesfeld was victim to a brutal attack on the Südring. At around 4:05 p.m., an unknown perpetrator attacked the youngsters by pushed him to the ground and hit the face several times. Only interventing courageous passers -by prevented the situation from escalating; The attacker then fled towards the city center across Kellerstrasse. The injured teenager rejected it to take medical help.

The perpetrator sought is male, has a Mediterranean appearance and is estimated at about 20 to 25 years.
