The next big event for the BVB women is on June 1, 2025 when they compete against FC Schalke 04 in the final of the Westphalia Cup. The outcome of this game could secure the qualification for the DFB Cup and thus represent another exciting step in the development of the women's team.

Women's football in change

The rise of the BVB women reflects the growing interest in women's football, which in recent years is not only characterized by success, but also by increased public perception and recognition.
