Cyclists in Witten-Rüdinghausen after an accident in a critical condition

A dramatic incident occurred on Saturday evening in Witten-Rüdinghausen when a 63-year-old cyclist from Dortmund had to be reanimated after a sole accident. Around 7:35 p.m., the man was on Friedrich-Ebert-Straße towards Witten-Anne when he fell. An attentive witness, 55 years old and also from Witten, reacted immediately and initiated first aid while the rescue workers were alerted.

The emergency services successfully revived the injured cyclist, but his condition remains critical. The man was immediately taken to a hospital where he is looked after intensive care. The police have set up a traffic commissioner to determine the exact circumstances of the accident.
