Pure excitement! VfL Oldenburg loses just against Borussia Dortmund

On January 5, 2025, the Bundesliga handball players of VfL Oldenburg started the new year unhappily and lost their opening game against Borussia Dortmund with 27:28 (12:12). In the sold -out small EWE Arena, over 2,500 spectators watched the exciting duel.

Seconds before the end, Luisa Knippert had the chance to equalize, but failed at the Dortmund goalkeeper Sarah Wachter.

With this defeat, VfL Oldenburg completed the first half of the season with 13: 9 points to five. The next home game will take place on Friday, January 10th, against TuS Metzingen at 7 p.m.
