Maifeier in Düren: Police accounts for slight climbs in operations

Die Kreispolizeibehörde Düren zieht eine vorläufige Bilanz zu Maifeierlichkeiten 2025: Leichter Anstieg der Einsätze, vor allem Ruhestörungen.

The police in Düren take a first record of Main Night 2025, and the numbers show a small increase in missions compared to the previous year. Between April 30, 8 p.m. and May 1, 6 a.m., a total of 14 missions were registered, while in 2024 there were only 10. Particularly striking: Half of the incidents concerned rest disorders! By May 1st, 4 p.m., the number of reports on this topic rose to 12.

In the Merzenich local area, residents of Böller explosions reported, but the police were unable to confirm these reports after their arrival. Fortunately, there were no assault in connection with the celebrations. Smaller fire were only classified as harmless mayors that burned in a controlled manner. Another year full of May celebrations in Düren, and the police draw a largely positive balance!
