Large deployment in Eller: garden house in flames, but nobody injured!

On Thursday morning, March 19, 2025, the Düsseldorf fire brigade was called to a burning garden house in the allotment garden club on the Dammsteg in Eller. Thick smoke and blazing flames led to a variety of emergency calls. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the owner of the garden house was visibly frightened.

The fire brigade immediately used several pipes and fought against the flames from two sides. Despite the challenge of ensuring the water supply with several hundred meters of hose, the extinguishing measures could be carried out without delays thanks to the large extinguishing water tanks of the fire engines. A total of 28 firefighters and two paramedics were deployed. The cause of the fire remains unclear and the criminal police have taken over the investigation.
