Cooperation between schools in Hüls and Aldekerk ends surprisingly!

The cooperation between the Robert-Jungk-Gesamtschule was in Hüls and the location in Aldekerkk ended by mutual agreement. This decision was made between the city of Krefeld, the municipality of Kerken and the Düsseldorf district government. The main reason for the dissolution of the collaboration is the insufficient number of pupils, which have switched from secondary level I in Kerken to the upper level in Hüls.

The cooperation was launched in 2014, with the aim of securing the school locations in the long term. The end of this cooperation raises questions about the future planning and development of educational institutions in the region.

Current infrastructure of the Robert Jungk comprehensive school

The Robert Jungk comprehensive school offers its own building for classes 5 to 10. Classes 5, 6 and 7 are housed on a common floor, while the higher classes 8 to 10 are housed on the upper floors. The city of Krefeld has invested considerably in school, which is reflected in newly renovated classrooms, a large library and numerous computer workplaces.

In addition, Smartboards are sufficient and there is the possibility to borrow iPads. Teachers plan to switch to digital learning quickly to save paper and thus to counter the environmental damage.

meaning of the statistical surveys

In order to further support educational planning in North Rhine-Westphalia, relevant statistics on the school system are published every year. contains exemplary statistics on school dates and time lines and report cover the need for teachers and student forecasts. The social index plays an important role in assigning additional teaching positions in order to prevent the loss of teaching and to support the individual support of the students.

The school landscape faces challenges that are accompanied not only by the regional decision, but also by overriding statistical surveys and the infrastructure of the schools. It remains to be seen how the situation for the Robert Jungk comprehensive school and its students will develop in the coming years.
