on Thursday evening, March 27, 2025, the federal police stopped a 35-year-old Moroccan on Autobahn 3 when entering the Netherlands. During the control at the Hoheide rest area, the officers discovered three large shopping bags in the trunk of the vehicle with an incredible 48.48 kilograms of hashish - an illegal business worth 47,000 euros!

The man presented a valid passport and a German residence permit, but that didn't help him. He was arrested on site and brought to the Federal Police Inspection Kleve. Now the customs investigation office in Essen has taken over the further investigation and will take a close look at this stark drug find. Another success of the border controls - the police stay on the ball!
