66-year-old motorcyclist suffers emergency and dies in Gelsenkirchen

Gecksheide, Gelsenkirchen, Deutschland - A tragic motorcycle accident occurred in Gelsenkirchen on Friday morning, April 4, 2025. A 66-year-old Essener suffered an internal emergency while driving on the Nordring in Scholven around 9 a.m. Witnesses report that the driver plunged without external influence and fell into the ground unconscious. Unfortunately, first aid measures by the police were not able to prevent the man from later died in the hospital.

The nordring was temporarily closed as a result of the serious incident. A specialized traffic accident team from the Recklinghausen police now examines the exact circumstances of the accident. The investigation into the cause of the accident is still underway.
