Path thieves in Gelsenkirchen: Police caught young people in the act!

on Sunday, February 9, 2025, two young people aged 14 and 15 in Gelsenkirchen were caught in a fresh act in a deposit theft. A 39-year-old gate who works on the site of a company on Haydnstrasse alerted the police at around 6:10 p.m. after noticing property damage to a machine.

When the police arrived, they discovered the two young people who diligently collected deposit bottles in garbage bags. The gatekeeper confirmed that the boys had entered the site unauthorized. During a first check, the two stated false personal details, but their identity could be quickly clarified. The police informed the legal guardians and the young people were then released on site. Both now have to expect a criminal complaint. The investigation continues.
