News from the Heinsberg immigration office: Changes from May 1, 2025!
In the Heinsberg district, a comprehensive restructuring of the immigration authority is imminent. The background to this measure is the frequent criticisms of the existing processes, such as long waiting times, poor accessibility and complicated appointment. From May 1, 2025, new opening times and regulations should come into force to counteract these challenges. According to rp-online.de
The new opening times of the immigration office are designed as follows:
- Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m.
- Thursday: 8.30 a.m. to 11.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
- Wednesday: closed
In addition, the telephone accessibility has also been adjusted:
- Mondays and Tuesdays: 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
- Thursday and Fridays: 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
The corresponding telephone numbers of the different areas are:
- area asylum/permission: 02452 133270
- General right of residence: 02452 133280
- Troat: 02452 133290
changes in allocation
An essential element of the new regulations is to change the appointment. From May 1, 2025, there is no possibility of addressing personally without an appointment on Tuesday. Independent bookings of appointments will also only be possible to a limited extent. New dates are no longer activated, and concerns must be communicated in writing by post or email to abh@kreis-heinsberg.de
Although personal discussion is initially not necessary, an appointment will take place if necessary. Concept that can be made without an appointment include:
- Submission of documents/documents
- address changes
- Translations of settlement permits
- extensions of fiction certificates
- toleration and attitude matters (out of application for residence titles)
New requirements for photographs
Another significant innovation concerns the requirements for the photographs for the application for sovereign documents. From May 1, 2025, only digital photographs are permitted. These can be recorded in the immigration office for a fee of 6.00 euros or are created by approved private photo service providers. Paper -shaped photographs are no longer accepted.
The new measures aim to improve the processes in the immigration office in the Heinsberg district and to offer citizens a more efficient service. According to Kreis-heinsberg.de , all application forms and information are available in the service portal of the authority.
