around the clock around 6,000 officials from the federal police and 4,500 security forces from Deutsche Bahn are used to protect travelers. In view of the high number of daily passengers that use the 5,700 train stations in Germany, extensive security measures are indispensable. Deutsche Bahn has invested considerably in surveillance in recent years, including increasing the number of video cameras to 11,000 in train stations.
