Danger! Trick thieves in Weeze and Kevelaer: Seniors in sight!

Kevelaer, Deutschland - in Weeze and Kevelaer, a group of trick thieves is up to mischief! This week, three cases have been reported to the police in which older people were stolen from their wallets. The perpetrators, all of whom were described as men with Mediterranean appearance, addressed the victims with the request to change small change. During the distraction, they stole any banknotes from the wallets unnoticed.

A particularly brazen stitch: a perpetrator supposedly dropped a coin to win the trust of the honest finder, and then asked for change. Another spoke to the injured party that he fell out of money from his pocket. This was done, while the victims were unsuspecting in their wallets for the right change. The police warn: the perpetrators are tricky and use the proximity to their victims to carry out their secret thefts. Investigations are underway to clarify possible connections between the deeds.
