PVRIS packs the stage in Cologne: Emotional anniversary show delights fans!
On July 9, 2025, a highly anticipated PVRIS concert took place in the sold-out canteen in Cologne. The band celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut album “White Noise,” attracting crowds of fans eager to hear their favorite songs live. The fans were ready in the front row to properly appreciate the performance of Lynn Gunn and Co. Morecore reports that PVRIS started the show with their hit “Smoke” and played the entire album in chronological order.
The audience was thrilled when melancholic pieces like “Holy”, “Eyelids” and “Ghosts” echoed across the stage. Many of these songs hadn't been in setlists for a long time, which made the performance very special. However, the band had to rely on backing tracks during the concert as founding member Brian MacDonald was not there, which gave the live atmosphere a slightly different character. Hashtag Magazine reports, that the band now only consists of frontwoman Lynn Gunn, which changed the dynamics of the group.
Opening by Julia Wolf
Before PVRIS, newcomer Julia Wolf, known for her hit “In My Room” and her collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly, had the honor of warming up the audience. Although she struggled to wow the crowds, she still received appreciative applause for her set. How NME reports, Julia Wolf was the support act for the entire European tour, with the exception of the concert in Munich.
Some special moments
A highlight of the evening was the interaction between Lynn Gunn and the audience during the song “Let Them In,” during which she asked for support. This created a warm bond between the band and their fans, who had followed closely over the last ten years. The second half of the concert was accompanied by a short break in the performance, during which nostalgic break music could be heard from a gramophone, before the band continued with the energetic “Burn The Witch”.
The concert finally ended with the powerful song “GODDESS” that had the crowd celebrating. PVRIS warmly thanked their fans who have supported them over the last decade. It becomes clear that the mood for the anniversary tour was not just a look back, but also a preview of their future projects, as the band announced that they will sell tickets for the entire tour on January 10, 2025
