In the night of Saturday, January 4, 2025, a small skate of the Piaggio brand was set on fire in Haan-Gruiten. The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Thunbuschstrasse and was reported by an attentive witness to the police. The alleged perpetrator then fled towards Düsselberger Straße.

The fire brigade was on site, but could not prevent the small skating bike from being burned out. Due to the severity of the arson, the police initiated an investigation. The criminal police took over the further processing of the case. The estimated property damage amounts to a small four-digit amount, such as ad-hoc-news.de reported.
