Minden, Deutschland - In a shocking turn, a brazen car theft occurred in Minden on Sunday evening! A Mercedes Sprinter was stolen from a plot of land in Maulbererkamp, while the owner loaded the car. Without any caution, the original key was still in the ignition lock when the thief simply started at 10:55 p.m. The owner immediately alerted the police.

The search was quick and dramatic: a patrol car crew discovered the stolen sprinter and tried to stop it. But the driver, a 17-year-old Mindener, could not be stopped and raced away! In Ernst Moritz-Arndt-Straße, he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a wooden fence and a trailer. But the end of the escape was close! The two suspects jumped out of the accident car and tried to escape, but the police did not give up. The alleged driver was set after a short persecution. His accomplice, a 14-year-old Mindenian, was later identified. The totally damaged vehicle and the clothes of the perpetrators were secured. What a night in Minden!
