Fireworks on A30: Police discovered life -threatening defects!

emergency services from the Münster motorway police stopped a tractor -trailer with over 14 tons of fireworks on the Autobahn 30 in Westerkappeln on March 17. The 49-year-old driver from the Netherlands came under sharp observation when the control showed several serious defects in the load. The packaging was sometimes badly damaged, boxes even pressed in and partly open, so that some fireworks had already been slipped out.

But that was not all: the transport documents showed incorrect information and important information was completely missing. The police decided to escort the tractor -trailer to a specialist company in Osnabrück in order to properly secure the load. Now the driver and those responsible threaten sensitive fines of several hundred to a thousand euros. A hair -raising example of how dangerous cargo can not only jeopardize the life of the driver, but also that of the other road users!
