The carnival in Bad Honnef started on March 1, 2025 with a spectacular town hall tower. Mayor Otto Neuhoff showed himself in an optimistic mood in the conflict between the "civilization" and the "Bergolk", represented by Prince Martin I and Princess Nicole I. The celebrations attracted numerous jokes when the prince couple of the KG Klääv Botz Aegidienberg and the child prince couple Mattis I and Betty I stormed the town hall with a lot of vigor.

The town hall tower took place at the carnival Saturday shortly after 12 noon. The town hall tower is part of the market show in Bad Honnef, which attracts hundreds of Jecken to the city. Various groups performed this year, including the rascals, the blue and white Schelleböömsche and the Rheingarde Bad Honnef. However, the highlight of this session is still imminent: the carnival train will take place on Sunday, March 2, 2025 and start at 12:11 p.m. with around 1000 participating jokes in 40 groups.

The anticipation for the carnival is noticeable in Bad Honnef. The city is preparing intensively for the upcoming carnival session. Various dance guards, like the Guard of the KG Ziepches Jecke, have already completed their training rounds. The festival committee Bad Honnefer Karneval e.V. also announced numerous dates that have already been determined: The session opening was on November 16, 2024, followed by a family session on February 16, 2025 and a Kölschen measurement on February 3, 2025. Even if the appointments remain unchanged compared to the previous year, the expectation is large.
