Car theft in Lauthausen: Langfinger attracts unlocked vehicle!

A driver from Hennef experienced a nightmare when he parked his Golf Kombi on the old village street on Tuesday evening. The next morning he found horrified that his vehicle was unlocked - and that was just the beginning. Thieves penetrated at night and stole his backpack, sunglasses and the wallet from the driver's door. With the stolen bank card, the perpetrators made purchases worth around 350 euros!

The injured party reacted directly, blocked his card and informed the police. No traces of departure were found, which indicates that the driver might have forgotten the car. The police warn as caution: vehicle owners should always ensure that their cars are properly closed and no valuables are left visibly in the car. Every theft should be reported immediately to prevent further damage.
