Robbery attack on Cologne taxi drivers: Police are looking for witnesses!

Burgmauer, 50667 Köln, Deutschland - The Cologne police desperately searches for a suspected robber who attacked a 79-year-old taxi driver in the city center at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday evening (April 27). The perpetrator sought, about 1.80 meters tall, slim and valued between 30 and 35 years old, wore a black jacket with an orange hood at the time of the crime. He was unshaven and had a little beard.

According to initial investigations, the man on Overrather Straße in Bergisch Gladbach entered the taxi and let himself be driven to downtown Cologne. At the end of the journey, a dispute escalated in which the attacker sprayed the taxi driver with pepper spray and tore the wallet out of his fell. After the attack, the robber fled on foot. The police are asking witnesses to contact the criminal commissioner 14 with information.
