JSG Havixbeck/Roxel: Despite defeats, coach Zendeh remains optimistic!

The JSG Havixbeck/Roxel, which has two B junior teams, is the focus of regional handball. Coach Mohamed Zendeh emphasizes the performance concept in his coaching team for the female B and A youth. In the coming year, the former B1 youth will start as an A-youth. In March 2025, the qualification rounds to the Oberliga are scheduled, where the JSG is striving for a say.

This season, the female B1 youth is pursuing the goal of taking second place in the Münsterland League. The team currently has a game behind and seven minus points. Zendeh regrets the injury of back player Franziska Hölscher, who is currently missing the team. The team also took part in the Epiphany tournament, in which Mettmann-Sport was considered a favorite and the SC Vorwärts Wettringen was in competition.

Epiphany tournament and current challenges

The JSG Havixbeck/Roxel had to accept a defeat with 7:10 in the opening game against Wettringen. Despite these starting difficulties, coach Zendeh remains optimistic and focuses on the next game against Concordia Albachten. In the game against Albachten, the JSG fought back after a 0-3 deficit and led in the second round, but completed the game with 10:11 for Albachten. The JSG also achieved a respectable result with 7: 9.

Despite a disappointing record of three defeats at the tournament, Zendeh is not frustrated and praises the courageous appearance of his team.
