Fears in the village: Tennet plans huge substation in Trent!
Trent, Deutschland - in the village of Trent, which belongs to the Lehmkuhlen community and is located on Lake Trenter, the Tennet is planning a significant substation. This is to be used for a 380kV maximum voltage line that runs from Kiel to Göhl. The planned building provides for masts with a height of 75 meters, which may give Mayor Günter Frehse cause. He fears that the village could be surrounded by the new electricity routes.
Currently there is a 110kV line behind the local kindergarten, which flows into an old substation, which is to be dismantled, however. The mayor points out that the listed primary school in Trent should be expanded to include a canteen. 70 children are currently learning there, while 50 children are looked after in the adjacent kindergarten. A new construction area for young families is also being planned that will ensure direct access to school and kindergarten.
planned developments and location options
The exact course of the new 380kV current route is not yet known, and the Tennet currently has no concrete plans for the Plön district. The focus is currently on the section from Audorf to Kiel. Mayor Frehse is afraid that the new line could run on the southeastern side of Trent. Tennet has identified two potential locations for the substation, one near the village and one compared to the existing substation on the Trenter Berg. If the substation is implemented, technology and transformers would be visible on an area of about 25 hectares.
As part of discussions with owners in the Trent search room, a location near the existing substation is positively rated. According to Tennet, a substation is necessary to insert green current into the network. There are inquiries for feeding about two gigawatts of renewable energy from wind and photovoltaic systems. The entire management from Audorf via Kiel to Trent and Göhl is planned for commissioning in 2037. Mayor Frehse suggests attaching the existing 110kV line to the planned 380kV line and decoupling behind Trent in order to avoid the surrounding of the village through electricity lines.
As is emphasized on the website of Netzausbau.de, such projects are part of the federal needs.
