In the night of Saturday, April 12, 2025, a dangerous driver who was traveling with snake lines was observed on the A1 motorway towards Cologne. Attentive witnesses immediately alerted the police, who could react quickly. At Mechernich-Holzheim, a patrol car crew stopped the car and found that the 32-year-old driver from Neuss was significantly under the influence of alcohol.

The police immediately ordered a blood sample and took his driver's license from the man. The onward journey was also prohibited. A procedure for drunkenness in road traffic was opened against him. A dramatic incident that could have ended much worse!
