In a dramatic incident yesterday morning, technical defect triggered the alarm in the Pestalozzi School in Rotenburg. At 8:35 a.m., teachers noticed smoke development and immediately alerted the fire brigade and police. The students were quickly brought to safety, and the emergency services took care of the situation.
At the same time, a serious accident occurred on the A1 towards Bremen near Sittensen. A 61-year-old semitrailer lost control of his 40-ton truck, who came off the road, broke a wild protection fence and landed in the ditch. In the incident, a stone was thrown up that damaged a Seat. The total damage amounts to around 15,000 euros, but fortunately there were no injuries.
